Sturdy clock radio
the sony dream machine clock radio is an excellent clock and radio as well as alarm clock. I use it every day and it has not failed me since I began using it over 5 years ago! I have had a number of blackouts and the back up battery works each and every time.

Great clock radio for the price.
Bought this as replacement for my old Sony clock radio. It's a good loud radio speaker, clear crisp sound for a tiny speaker. tuner is ok, alarm controls pretty easy to navigate, and the auto time set feature is a nice plus, since I move it around alot. Only con I see is the alarm switch. It's a dial type of control and VERY loose. Has a tiny knob on the top to turn the dial with. It's so loose that I'm afraid I will hit and turn off the alarm in my sleepy stupor, so I just keep the clock far away from the bed. I don't know if that's just a defect on the one I got, or if they are all that way. Not a biggie. If you set it for the buzzer, it's not very loud, I don't think the buzzer on this clock would wake up anybody really. But the radio is really loud. Bottom line, for the price, this a great value and having weak hearing, it wakes me up easily when set to radio alarm. It's pretty loud. And that's what I wanted. And it's CHEAP!
