Sony  Portable CD Player with Cassette Deck, AM/FM Radio

I was debating between this radio and another one. I ended up selecting the other one because I preferred dials over buttons. I ended up returning it because the reception wasn't that great. I went ahead and purchased this one and I'm so pleased with it. The reception is great, which was my primary reason for getting it. I was apprehensive about the buttons being able to tune efficiently, but they did a great job. I haven't used it for tapes or cd's, but as far as the radio - I'm totally satisfied.

I've only had this a few weeks, but so far so good. I choose a Sony primarily because of their reputation. It also looked sleeker and more streamlined than others I saw. It doesn't take up a lot of space. The sound quality is pretty good, especially for the kind of unit it is. It would be good for party music. I like that it has a cassette deck so I can still play some old really old stuff. The dubbing idea is great, but who dubs from CD to cassette; I would give this a five if it were the other way around.

It has great sound for a compact portable cd player. I would recommend this to anyone. Great PrIce.

Bought this radio to replace another new one I purchased elsewere for my wife. This is truly what I should have bought the first time. I did not know they made such a quality portable CD player and cassette deck with AM & FM radio, and for a great price.

gift for a loved one was a success. He loved it and uses it constantly.

the boom box is compact with a big sound. it was great to finally hear my music again. an early birthday present to myself. the sound and look are so modern. what a terrific buy.

As difficult as it is to find a cassette player anymore, this combination gives you the best of both worlds. It takes a beating and keeps going. I've used it outside, near the pool and even my parents had no problem using its simple button selection. And great sound to boot! Don't pass this one up!

I bought this Sony boombox two months ago to replace an older Sony model, which couldn't pull in two FM stations that I like. The new box brings in these stations loud and clear. It also has presets, which the older model didn't have. The CD player and tape player work well, though I mainly use the radio. The sound quality is very good. I found this on sale at Kmart for $35.
