Open-End Wrenches & Sets
When it comes to working with nuts and bolts, you rely on your Craftsman open-end wrenches for the ease of use in situations where there is a lot of space. You grab your standard wrenches for tightening loose bolts on your back gate and your metric wrenches whenever you raise the hood on your foreign import. When you encounter a nut in a tight spot or a bolt that needs a little extra torque, your Craftsman ratcheting wrenches give you the secure hold and easy change of rotating direction that you need to get the job done quickly.

Get great value from open-end wrenches
Open-end wrenches are the most basic wrenches and the most affordable. With separate sizes at each end, you get two tools in every handle, and that rduces cost. Your options include individual wrenches or sets in standard, metric or both. Inexpensive sets from Craftsman or KD Tools are ideal for getting started. High-quality sets from Craftsman Pro, Stanley Proto and GearWrench will stand up to the demands of the professional shop. For working in cramped engine compartments, open-end wrenches with offset heads or flexible heads allow you to approach nuts from an angle. Those with ratcheting heads speed up the work while reducing hand and wrist fatigue.
If you are an HVAC contractor or plumber, you will appreciate our great selection of flare nut wrenches. Their extended jaws grip soft metals like brass and mild steel gently but firmly to reduce damage. Nonratcheting and ratcheting heads come in metric and standard with two sizes per wrench. Wrenches with flexible heads are a great choice where space is tight inside a condensing unit or under a sink.
Our selection of specialty wrench sets has something for everyone. Mechanics will make good use of a 20-piece Craftsman combination ignition wrench set. Open-end ignition wrenches are also available with heads set at a 90-degree angle for a better fit. The seven-piece bit wrench set comes with four interchangeable bits and gives you more leverage than a screwdriver can. Dogbone and universal multitool wrenches in standard and metric models include six sockets in the most common sizes. Some of them come with a variety of slotted and Phillips heads that give you outstanding functionality in a single tool. Duratool ratcheting spanner wrenches, Armstrong adjustable spanner wrenches and Titan Tamper Resistant torx star bit wrenches are just a few of the additional specialty wrench sets we carry.
Sears has torque wrenches in three basic designs. The most affordable but least precise are beam-type wrenches from KD Tools. They employ a spring and needle gauge to show torque. Craftsman Micro-Clicker and Schwaben torque wrenches use manual settings to deliver the right amount of torque. They are accurate to within five percent. Electronic digital torque wrenches are the most expensive, but they are essential when tolerances must be below 5 percent. The Craftsman Electronic, Precision Instruments Square Torque and the Brownline Digital Torque wrenches all give you outstanding precision with digital readouts and electronic tones for convenience.
Browse our selection for wrenches that you can use at home or on the job. Ordering is easy, and we can get your tools to you right away. Make Sears your one-stop wrench shop to handle the nuts and bolts.
