This is the first kit made of this unusual wartime vehicle! The NKL-26 was an introduced by the Soviet Union during WWII. It was made of plywood and had an armored plate on the front only, was armed only with a 7.62mm DT machine gun and was powered by an M-11G aircraft engine. Each NKL-26 was operated by two crewmen and was organized into battalions of 30, three companies of 10. Each company was organized as three platoons of three vehicles, and a commander?s vehicle. Combat Aerosans often worked with ski infantry battalions, and could carry four ski troops riding outside the vehicle on its skis or towed behind. Kit consists of over 230 parts on 8 sprues plus photo-etched parts and a figure. Paint colors needed: White Insignia, Khaki, Flat Black, Silver, Wood Brown, Middle Stone, Burnt Iron, Steel, Red Brown, Flesh, and Field Gray.
