Whirlpool  24.8 cu. ft. French Door Bottom Freezer Refrigerator w/ Contour Doors  ENERGY STAR®

Everyone on here has the same problem- the doors don't shut and the bottom freezer ices over causing the fridge not to cool! This is the crappiest most expensive fridge ever. I purchased an extended warranty and literally it takes 3 weeks to schedule an appointment. I don't want to de-ice this one, I don't want a new one, I just want my money back. =/

My Whirlpool refrig. is easy to access all of the bins and shelves. The humidity contoled veggie and fruit bins keep spoilage to a minimum.The soda dispenser on the door is very creative by accomdating the 12-pack boxes. I especially like the ease of cleaning the shelves and bins.Thank you Whirlpool, you make a World of difference.

Have only been using it for about a month and a half, so it may be early to have a more meaningful evaluation. One concern, the door and freezer handles are slotted slide ons, and they keep coming off. It's only my wife and me at home, so it's not any kids doing it. It's annoying and would be embarrasing in front of guests.

Love my frige but wish it had a few features found on the Samsung. I wish the ice was more assesible as you need to pull top shelf all the way out to retrieve ice. Also wish it had a shelf or 2 that pulled out or folded down to give more room for larger items when needed. I bought as I have always had Whirlpool or Kenmore for my 53 years of marriage and countless homes. Many years we had 2 homes as we do now and we always replaced with whirlpool. they hold up far longer than many others. I currently have 2 whirlpool refrigerators in my current homeand 1 in my summer home. I have noticed that this unit is a bit noiser than my smaller refrigerator. Over all I guess I am somewhat satisfied with my new product. I did take about and hour of hemming and hawing over the Samsung it was less $$$ but Whirlpools reputation won me over.

For us we had a good working refrigerator, so we did not need to rush out to replace a defective appliance. After looking in appliance stores and seeing and comparing French door and bottom freezers for product information. We found that the sales people have little interest in the appliances as to know just what the performance and fact about the items, they just hand you a brochure to review. So we went on the internet and did our own data search. What was the most help was to see side by side comparisons and how many types of refrigerators are manufactured. This could not be done in stores as not all models of appliances are carried in the stores and to view one you might have to drive to another store to compare. So by using the internet we let the pc do the work for us. That is how we found our refrigerator, it was not found in any of the major stores or hardware stores and at the same time we found out that Whirlpool was having a big discount on appliances! We set our goal only for a Whirlpool French door bottom freezer refrigerator. This was not advertised in the media at the time. We would do it all over again except for the shopping at some of the major stores.

I had high expectations and thus far were met. I have experienced three minor recurring challenges. If the left door is closed after the right door, intermittently it will partly open the right door. I expect that that problem to remediate itself as the seals loosen up. The second minor problem is that the if the ice tray is full and the freezer door is opened to quickly, some ice cubes will fall out. Finally, the durability of the plastic drawers.

Plenty of space inside, fridge,and freezer, plenty of drawers to keep things fresh and centrally located. Like the glass shelves and ease of adjustments. double door is convenient for quick grabs without opening the whole front. I have never really heard it running, just ice dropping once in a while. I really like the filtered water feature. I am really happy with this product.

Our Kenmore model# GX5FHTXVQ07 refrigerator is an excellent size with large capacity storage that allowed it to fit in our kitchen without modifying cabinets or obstructing ease of use (doors and freezer opens fully). The French door upper and Freezer bottom allows for more freezer storage while providing a large (well designed) door and main compartment storage area for bottled water, milk and other common refrigerated items. The operation is quite and the power consumption is much reduced from our old refrigerator. I would recommend Kenmore Refrigerators and other appliances to anyone in the market for a new refrigerator or looking to reduce operational costs.

So far, this has proved to be one quality refrigerator. The french door style with the bottom freezer make retreiving items most used more convenient. It has an excellent refrigerator storage area, however, the ice-maker tray does dimish the freezer capacity somewhat, and cleaning below the freezer drawer is difficult, but not impossible. A very good product and very happy with the purchase of it.

Besides the drain getting clogged creating ice build up in the bottom of my freezer and the door not shutting that might end my marriage, it's great. I was super excited when I bought this because I thought it was the Caddilac of fridges. Not so much. I'd go with something else next time.
