How to Microwave Fudge

If you're looking for a dessert that's super easy to make and doesn't take much time, try making microwave fudge. If you already have all of the ingredients on hand, preparing and microwaving the fudge takes under five minutes.

What you'll need:

  • Bowl. Use this to mix ingredients and microwave.
  • Baking Dish. Use an 8-inch square glass baking dish to store your fudge in the refrigerator.
  • Foil. Line the baking dish with foil before adding the fudge.
  • Chocolate Chips. Use 3 cups of chocolate chips as the rich flavoring for the fudge.
  • Condensed Milk. This gives the fudge a thick, creamy texture. Use a 14-ounce can.
  • Butter. Use 4 tablespoons of melted butter.
  • Salt. Use ¼ teaspoon of salt.

Step 1: Mix ingredients in bowl.

Using a microwave-safe mixing bowl, combine the chocolate chips, condensed milk, butter and salt. It's not necessary to do much work initially to mix the ingredients together because they need to be microwaved to melt down. Place the bowl with ingredients in the microwave and heat on high for three minutes, stopping the microwave every sixty seconds to stir the fudgy mixture.


Step 2: Pour fudge into baking dish.

Remove the melted fudge from the microwave and pour the mixture into your foil-lined square baking dish. Make sure the fudge settles so the surface is smooth and flat.


Step 3: Refrigerate.

Allow the dish of fudge to cool in the refrigerator for about two hours. Cut into one-inch squares, serve and enjoy.
