  2. Outdoors We bought a new Kenmore bbq grill in July 2012. We also purchased the Sears Protection Plan. We went to start the grill the other day and it would not ignite. I called the 800# on 7/6/13 to schedule repair service and was told that someone would need to call me back. On 7/10/13 I received a message saying that the earliest someone would be here to look at my grill was on 8/1/13. That's 26 days to get a grill under 1 year old and under warranty and Sears Protection Plan serviced. I called back and was told that there is only one technician in the area that works on grills. Really? One person for Long Island in the summer to work on grills? When I called the 800# number back and asked to speak with a supervisor, I was put on hold for 45 minutes and finally hung up. Clearly, no one was going to pick up the line. I find it totally unacceptable that it would take 4 days to schedule a call to tell me it would take another 26 days to have a service call. Any suggestions?

    This would be a good time to toggle all the breakers, if the breaker has any corrosion it may not pop if overloaded.

  15. Home & Family How can I report a horrible experience with Sears Phone Rep named Destiny (ID#321456). This morning while calling about scheduling the delivery of a washing machine and dryer, I encountered an extremely rude Sears Rep named Destiny. I asked to talk to a manager and she said that she was the manager. I found this odd because she was the person who initially answered my call. The ID she gave me was 321546. I recorded the conversation on my cell phone and really want an actual manager to review it. If Sears does not respond to my request, I intend on cancelling my order. I have been a customer of Sears and Kmart for many, many years, but if I receive no response to this complaint, I will cancel my order and never shop at either store again.

    The customer accepted a delivery date at the time of purchase. We have no information as to why the additional call to delivery was made but that is not the norm.

Home & Family After an extensive web search I can't seem to find any email contacts for Sears Holding Corp. contacts thru customer service appear to go straight to a third world country who won't transfer calls to anyone in the US or even give a caller a supervisor when requested. We bought a whirlpool duet steam washer thru Sears.com on the 28th. At the time of order it was promised for before noon Monday dec 31, although the order taker apparently didn't bother putting that on the order. When the machine eventually got here, it was installed and DID NOT WORK. The installers had to call in...they have to deal with aforementioned 3rd world country as well...she wanted to send a technician late this week. She wanted them to take the washer back with them (they'd already loaded the old washer and their truck was full). I spoke to her again and insisted I wanted a new washer that worked! She thought maybe we could get one later this week. She stonewalled us for - half hour, refused to transfer to the US or give us a supervisor. My husband meanwhile was contacting our local store, hoping to find someone who could help with this fiasco and the manager there couldn't even find a record of our transaction but offered a refurbished machine! NoNoNo! Later that afternoon, we heard from the manager of the delivery company (a Sears contractor) who has managed to arrange for a new machine to be delivered on Thursday. Thank goodness for him! The fact is tho that I will have to take ANOTHER day off work for the delivery and the frustration level is immense. We've been loyal Sears customers for 30 years!

    And welcome to the fourth world country. Just plug a lamp in the outlet to test for power.

    I'm really interested in your response Bigmike, does Apple have the right to limit iPhone 5's to two/customer. Google search "Apple NH taser" if you missed the story. Or is this why Apple is failing?
