Tips for Spring Break planning
As March roars in like a lion in many areas of the United States, most of us dream of warm, sunshine-filled days ahead. A spring break trip offers an ideal opportunity for a getaway to pristine beaches, party resorts and vacation hot-spots like Universal Studios and the Walt Disney Resorts.
Spring break vacation for singles
There’s no shortage of fun spring break vacation ideas for singles wishing to get away with friends and maybe meet that special someone. A Caribbean Singles Cruise for six nights offers tropical ports of call, activities such as scuba diving, cocktail and karaoke parties, all-inclusive dining, 24-hour room service, theme nights and more.
Singles can also enjoy a week in sunny Florida at the Universal Studios Orlando resort. With two theme parks, several resorts and the Universal CityWalk®, there’s non-stop entertainment for all ages. CityWalk is central to Orlando nightlife and is home to the Red Coconut Club®, the Latin Quarter™ and Hard Rock Live®.
Spring break destinations for couples
Couples looking for a romantic getaway during spring break season may want to consider areas not typically inundated by college students. Hilton Head, S.C., offers luxurious resorts, gorgeous beaches, 25 golf courses, great restaurants and nighttime entertainment. Even if you and your sweetie need a cheap spring break destination, less expensive hotels can be found in Bluffton, just 15 to 20 minutes away from the beaches.
The Walt Disney World Resort® in Orlando, Fla., is another spring break option for couples looking to bypass the crowds that populate resorts in Cancun and Nassau. Opt to stay at the Caribbean Beach Resort on the Disney property. It has a 45-acre lake, white sand beaches with hammocks and lounge chairs, nine heated pools plus free transportation to the four Disney theme parks. Guests at the Disney resorts also have free entrance into Downtown Disney and Pleasure Island.
Both Hilton Head and Disney can be fun destinations for a family spring break vacation as well.
Spring break destinations for college students
All-inclusive resorts such as the Grand Paradise Bavaro in the Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana are popular spring break destinations for college students. Other tropical destinations students will enjoy during spring break include Key West, Fla.; South Padre Island, Texas; Mazatlan, Mexico and Nassau, Bahamas.
Daytona Beach, Fla., and Cancun, Mexico, are two traditional spring break sites for college students looking to enjoy parties, pools and beaches, and they’re easily accessible for U.S. students.
Spring break getaway tips
