Did this happen to anyone else? What did they do to help you? We purchased a 7 CF Kenmore freezer ( model 19702, the one that had the energy rebate)made by Midea Co from Sears 4/28/2013. Today 10/20/2013 we realized that sometime with in the last 2 days the freezer had stopped working for no reason and everything we had in it had to be thrown out. As you must know this was very upsetting to us,especially since much of what was in there were foods we had grown or went and picked ourselves so we would have what we needed to get through this winter. We would like a response from you about you can do to help us with this problem. We would hate to no longer use Sears as our appliance store due to your decision to put your name on items that are inadequate and useless. We expect a response ASAP.

      The technician(0661512) came yesterday. The freezer compressor is dead. It is now scrap metal. We were offered 20% off a new Kenmore (case #1832042). No help with the food cost loss. We were told it was a cheap freezer and you get what you pay for. He also said that Sears no longer does business with the company that made it.
      We purchased a Kenmore to begin with because they supposedly were quality products and would stand behind their products. Why would Sears put their name on a cheap, faulty appliance? Don't you think those who purchased this product deserve to know of the problems it might have?
      This was the last Kenmore appliance we WILL EVER buy. They just are not reliable anymore.
      The best thing about this experience is that I am a Family and Consumer Science teacher working with about 150 students a year. During the consumerism unit that is taught you can be sure I will tell them about this experience.
