I want to buy a new tv, 39/40 inches. My seating area is about 6-10 feet from the tv. I mainly watch programs and movies. I also have a Roku, and would like the tv to be able to pick up local channels, so I don’t know if that has to do with HD? I’m hoping to spend less than $500

  1. Hello Lunal_Mom, below is what will be needed to use Roku.
    •Broadband Internet
    •WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) wireless network
•An available composite or HDMI input a TV
    •HDMI cable (if using HDTV)
•Ethernet cable (if using wired network)
I recommend looking at the TV's at with the above features. You do not have to have a HD TV. For local channels with out cable or satelite will most likely require an antenna. I recommend speaking to a sales person who works in the electronic department at the Sears store in order to let him what you are wanting to use and do with the TV. I hope this helpful.
