I’d like to lodge a complaint. Technicians take advantage of service contract holders.
A technician responding to a service call for my washer showed up, spent two minutes and said my problem is a support bar that holds the front of the washer on. He claimed he has much experience and thats why he found the error so fast.
It didnt sound right, so we called GE and GE said that bar is used as part of the frame, does not involve a tilt or unbalanced load or improper filling.
The technician also said it will be two weeks to get the parts, GE said they can overnight them to us.
My wife called Sears, and a supervisor hung up on her.
I dont think this person spent time to really figure out what the problem was, maybe he was worried about keeping to his schedule.
How are people supposed to handle this situation when we dont know? The tech can say anything he wants.
