Just purchased a kenmore elite refrigerator. The freezer light is already out. Can I get a technician to come out and replace the light ?

It just occurred to me that the appliance bulb in your freezer may just be a little "loose" in its socket.

You may want to remove the light shield and see if a simple twist of the bulb turns it back on.

You did not post the long model number of your machine.

This is the little screw-in light, that is supposed to be rated at 40 watts or less?

I just accessed my Kenmore freezer's light, without the aid of tools or an Owner's manual.

The key thing to remember is that, due to the coldness inside of your freezer, you will be needing an "appliance" light bulb that matches the one that is no longer working in your machine.

  1. Hi Keonismom1! Welcome to MySears! You can give the folks at Sears Home Service a call. They will be happy to discuss getting a tech out to repair that light.
