  1. Thanks, this was helpful

  2. Hi Karen,

Here is the response that our Sears Appliance Expert has relayed to us.

The F6 error on most microwaves indicates a relay on the control board has failed. Microwaves do not make good do-it-yourself projects. Even unplugged a microwave can still cause serious injury. Some parts retain a lethal amount of voltage even when unplugged from the wall outlet. You will need a technician to fix this problem.

Please let us know if you have further questions!

  3. Hi Karendavis53,

    Welcome to the MySears Community!

I have escalated your concerns to our Sears Appliance Experts to help provide information on the F-6 error. If possible, can you please provide the make and model number for this unit? This may help with providing a more accurate trouble shooting description.

Please check back periodically for a reply from one of our Experts!

    Thank you!
