    So. How's the furnace doing?

    Is it all fixed/ cleaned up?

    What was wrong with it?

    Was there any preventative maintenance that wasn't done, that you now are aware of needing to be done, to avoid another emergency service call?

    Do you own a shop vac?

    Changing the furnace air filter and vacuuming the metal micro-screen heating cover (on a gas furnace/ water heater) is an owner/ operator maintenance procedure you can do that might get the beast a work'n again.

    Doh! I have to find that appliance coil cleaning brush for cleaning or fridgerator "bottom coils". We've got TWO dogs...

      Found the appliance coil cleaning brush, popped off the front plastic fridge grill and about 15 minutes later was finishing up the front of the coils with the wand and brush attachment that came with our upright vacuum cleaner.

      Then dumped the vacuum see-through dust collector and dry brushed and finally soap and water cleaned the "cleanable" inner finned filter and foam ring filter.

      Fridge is cleaned, washable filter are finish drying to the upright vacuum, with no need for service calls.

      Life is good.

  3. Sears considers 2 weeks for a service appointment to be acceptable. If you are under warranty or a maintenance agreement, you are pretty well at their mercy, if not call a company that provides actual customer service.
