New Ratchet Repair kit model numbers

Does anyone have the model numbers of the new Asian made Craftsman tear-drop and 60T/ Thin Profile ratchets? The old repair kits do not “fit” into the newly manufacturing location sourced ratchets.

Just got an updated ratchet repair list from the Craftsman Community website.

It seems there are now the older US Made teardrop and Thin-Profile Craftsman ratchets and the newer Asian made teardrop and Thin Profile ratchets, that use different model number repair kits.

The old and new parts within the kits are NOT compatible with the different manufacturing location and the newly designed different innards of the Asian made ratchets.

Fortunately, a trickle of the 3/8 and 1/2 inch teardrop Asian made ratchet repair kits have started to drip into the local store.

Which is better? Time will tell.

However, twice as many repair kits have to be carried for the same model number ratchets, now.

  1. Last I heard, they were still waiting for the kits to start flowing to stores.

Well. Without the use of a Breaker Bar, the new ratchets are no more resistant to breakage as the old ratchets are.
The number of new ratchet blanks (all moveable parts gutted) is starting to pile up, while waiting for the new ratchet repair kits that can only be used on the new Craftsman ratchets.

I'm sure once all of the new individual ratchets have been stripped off of the store display hooks, someone will figure out how to distribute the repair kits, whose parts are already being used in the manufacture of the new ratchets.

Someone "post" if you find any of the new repair kit model numbers.
