Recently we had the floor replaced in our kitchen and our Sears refrigerator had to be moved. When they put it back we can’t get our ice maker to work. The water isn’t filling into the tray. We do have water coming out of the dispenser on the front of the door, but no water going into the ice tray. Could something not be hooked up on the back of the fridge when they moved it? But you would think that we would’nt have water coming out the dispenser. Please help!

  1. Hi SusanMN! Thanks for visiting today with your questions. We can have an Appliance Expert respond to help. If you can post the model number of your fridge, that will be useful to make sure you are getting the correct answer. Thanks!

  2. As basic troubleshooting: is the icemaker turned on? Is the water line to the refrigerator open?

Yes it is on and we get water from the front of the fridge, just no water to the ice maker after having a new floor installed.

Susan, it's possible that during the move, a wire on the water valve in the back of the cabinet may have been pulled loose. The fill tube inside the freezer could be frozen, which would prevent water from getting to the icemaker. If you would like to have a technician check this you can call 1-800-469-4663.
