The warranties vary according to the specific tool you buy. Some Craftsman Mechanics' hand tools are lifetime warranted - like the ratchets.

Some Craftsman hand tools are warranted for one year - like the vises, pop rivet tools, staplers, audible-click torque wrenches and C-clamps.

The Craftsman power tools have Manufacture's defect warranties going out a year or two, depending on the tool, with an option to purchase additional "protection" going out various numbers of years, according to how large a Protection Agreement you purchase.

Sears has its own Repair work force and a Parts Distribution system that includes access to 7 million different parts.

I used to be paid to do the ratchet rebuilding work and now I volunteer time, at my local Sears store.
