When the push to start button is pressed the dryer will not stay running unless I manually hold the button in or put some type of weight against the button to keep it depressed. it does not heat while running. Ideally the button should only have to be pushed once to start the cycle. What else would cause the dryer not to stay engaged when the button is pushed. model # 62884101

  1. Kinda odd question. But, does your house use fuses? Before my parents rewired their house they would have issues with the dryer heating when the fuse would go out. Or if you have the panel kind which the name escapes me you may want to check that nothing has flipped. This would only help the heat issue, not the staying on issue.
