Question

Who carries the parts to fix a 40 something year old Craftsman mid-sized ratchet, that has a big black wheel on it?

The store folks don’t recognize it. But, they do agree it is an old Craftsman Mechanic’s tool.

I don’t want to trade it in, as much as get it working again.

    Google is a good idea.

Or, maybe the e of Bay?

Thank you for the quick reply.

  1. AdamO,
I will be happy to assist you. I ran into the same problem with the stainless steel Craftsman ratchet I had. To me the ratchet was worth more than trading it in for a new one. I ended up searching Google. "Craftsman ratchet rebuild kit". Once it came up, I clicked on images and searched until I found a kit for mine. I hope you have luck finding the kit this way.

Please let me know how this works. Mark

  2. I know we don't get those kits anymore. I don't know where you'd get the parts, except for salvage from other old ratchets. You could always just get a thumb driver instead. ;)

  3. Hi Adam,

I have escalated to our Sears Experts to see if they can help in some way. Please continue to check back periodically for they will respond with information on where you might be able to obtain parts.

    Thank you for posting!
