This stone is a Medium color Smoky Quartz mined in Brazil. I hand pick every one of my Smokies looking for good color (I hate muddy looking stones) good clarity and a medium darkness. I prefer light to be able to get in bounce around a little pop right out and zap you with color. If they get too dark they just dont have "life". Of course if YOU prefer a darker stone Ill get one for you -- no extra cost. I know Im not the last word on whats pretty -- you are!

These stones are set into a traditional basket setting hanging from a leverback earring. Notice the thickness of the gold in the mounting. These are substantial without being weighty. I like my stones well protected and I assume you do too!

This is a good stable setting that wont set you back a month just to get a pair. Theres no reason why this stone shouldnt last you for years and dazzle every day of it.
